Main ResponsibilitiesThe IT & Devices team is expanding rapidly, aiming to become increasingly autonomous in the development of customized automated solutions. Our client has already launched two readers fully designed and built in-house, and many other innovative projects are currently under development.
As part of this team, your main missions will include:
Designing mechanical systems: creating 3D models and 2D drawings; contributing to electrical and electronic plans in collaboration with external partners.
Researching and selecting components from specialized libraries, maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and innovation.
Supervising prototyping: overseeing manufacturing, assembly, and validation of prototypes in collaboration with the production technician.
Participating in end-to-end R&D projects: from initial concept to manufacturing, ensuring close follow-up and preparing validation reports.
Drafting and analyzing technical specifications, qualification documents, and validation reports in close collaboration with internal R&D teams.
Providing technical support and training both internally and externally on developed products.
Education / Experience
Degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Design, or equivalent (BS, MSc, or PhD).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar projects, ideally involving small machines or precision parts.
Technical and Scientific Skills
Proficient in SolidWorks within a multi-user environment (outside DPM/PLM). Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools is a plus for future developments.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes: machining, sheet metal work, rapid prototyping (FDM, SLA), with notions of plastics and injection molding (an asset).
Basic knowledge of electricity/electronics.
Experience in assembly and testing of electromechanical prototypes.
Proficient in English (spoken and written) and comfortable in French for daily interactions.
Comfortable using IT tools (command line, installation/configuration, SharePoint environment).
